Shipping & Delivery

All orders are made in and shipped from Chicago, Illinois, USA. While I do have some pieces in stock, which are available for immediate delivery, much of my work is made to size upon order. For in stock work, please allow 1-3 regular business days for your order to ship. For all other orders, please allow 1 to 2 weeks after I’ve received your payment to complete and ship your order. This time frame can vary depending on my current volume of orders, so please contact me before placing your order for a more accurate estimate. I can also expedite your order if you need to receive your order for that special occasion. Please see my expediting policy for more information.

I am not responsible for any loss, theft or damage that occurs during shipping. When placing your order online, please make sure that your shipping address is complete and correct.

I respect my customers and understand that you are concerned about your privacy, so I’ve instituted a privacy policy intended to ensure that your personal information is handled safely and responsibly. Here you will find what types of information we collect, how it is handled, with whom it may be shared, what choices you have regarding our use of your information and how you may access some of the data you provide.

What information is collected?

Various types of information are collected, depending on how you use my site. This information is gathered through email requests, responses to surveys or other solicitations.

* When you order from Gustav Reyes, I collect your name, address, email address, phone number and credit card information. I also collect information on the person who will receive the purchased items, if different from yourself, including that person’s name and address. I retain all this information as a record of your purchase.

* When you request to be on my mailing list (for email or regular mail), I collect your name, address, email address and phone number.

* When you respond to a survey, I usually ask for your name, address, email address and phone number. I may also ask you for additional information, such as age, interests, product preferences or zip code.

* When you submit a question, I need your email address to respond, and you also may provide me with various type of information to allow me to answer your inquiry.

* Cookies: A cookie is a small piece of information sent by a website that is saved on your hard disk by your computer’s browser. It holds information a site my need to interact with you and personalize your experience. At Simply Wood Rings, I use two kinds of cookies – session cookies and persistent cookies.

o Session cookies exist only for as long as your browser remains open. Once you exit your browser, they go away. We use session cookies to maintain information we need to have in order for you to shop at Gustav Reyes. For example, the Session_ID cookie that we ask your browser to hold retains the ID for your shopping bag. Without the Session_ID cookie, you cannot add merchandise to your bag or make any purchases.

o Persistent cookies, in contrast, last from visit to visit; they do not go away when you exit your browser. You can browse our site without accepting a persistent cookie. However, you cannot add merchandise to your bag or make any purchases. You may set your browser options to reject persistent cookies. Alternatively, you can set your browser to notify you when you receive a cookie, which provides you with the opportunity to decide whether you want to accept it or not. In many instances, the "help" button on your browser tool bar will tell you how you can take these steps.

How is this information used?

I may use your information in a number of ways, including:

* To improve the content on my website. For example, I may use cookies to find out which parts of my site or which products are viewed most often.

* For marketing and promotional purposes. I occasionally send out emails and direct mail or catalogs to my customers about products or events that I think may be of interest to them. I may also send my customers special promotions, new work or new pieces.

Is this information shared?

The information gathered will never be shared with a third party without your written consent. However, I may share your account or other information when I believe it is necessary to comply with the law or to protect Gustav Reyes interests or property. This may include sharing information with other companies, lawyers or government agencies in connection with issues related to fraud or government subpoenas and warrants.

Is my information secure with SSL?

At Gustav Reyes, I am committed to providing my customers with a secure shopping environment. I maintain practices and procedures designed to ensure the security, integrity and confidentiality of customer information, and use various security measures to ensure that your credit card information is protected, including the latest in security technology. When you place an order through the shopping cart, your personal information is protected by Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption technology, the industry standard security protocol for encoding sensitive information. SSL creates a shared digital key, which only lets the sender and the receiver of the transmission scramble or unscramble information. To everyone else, the SSL transmission is indecipherable.

Encryption is based on the mathematical scrambling and unscrambling of messages. The type of encryption we use assigns two keys - one is a public key and one is a private key. When you send us a message, you use our public key to encrypt your message. Once I receive your encrypted message, I use the private key to decode it. The same key cannot both encrypt and decrypt information. So, information encrypted using the private key can only be decrypted using the public key, and vice versa- ensuring the security of your information.

This technology, together with other security measures, protects your personal information as it moves from your computer to our server. I also restrict and limit access to customer information only to those employees who require it to carry out their business functions, and educate our employees about safeguarding customer information and preventing its unauthorized access, disclosure, or use. I constantly monitor and adopt, as appropriate, new technological improvements designed to protect and ensure the accuracy and security of customer information.

Opt-Out

My customers are given the opportunity to opt-out of having their information used for purposes not directly related to their transaction at the point where we ask for the information. Customers who no longer wish to receive communications may opt-out.

Returns & Replacements

If you wish to return your item for a refund, I will do so on a case-by-case basis. You must make the request within fourteen (14) days of receipt. Please contact me to discuss a return (link to Contact page).

Payment, Pricing & Promotions

Payment

For payment of online and wholesale orders, I accept most major credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express, as well as PayPal money transfers. All transactions are processed through PayPal, but you do not need a PayPal account to place your order. You may also place an order over the phone, using one of the above-mentioned credit cards. For purchases made at art and craft shows, as well as by personal appointment, I accept cash and credit card payments. If you are purchasing one of my pieces from a retailer, you must follow their payment policies.

In the event of a refund, the payment will be issued to the credit card used for the original transaction. If the original transaction is more than 60 days old, the payment will be issued in the form of a check, paid and mailed to the credit card owner.

Sales Tax

Sales tax at a rate of 10.25% will be added to your order if your billing address is within the state of Illinois. Supplying some or all of the materials for your commission will not affect the sales tax charge, if applicable. For expedited orders, sales tax will be applied to the total commission price, including the expediting fee.
